February - March
Water temps slow fish movements as cooling air temps settle in. The early spring warming signal Trout as they transition from deep water to shallow Speckled trout spawning areas. Catch your flounder now but only seasonal bites till water warms to 60 degrees. Bull reds are still plentiful until warmer spring waters drives them deeper. Braving winds and cold is not for those unaccustom. This season is the best time to use guide services to make sure of your fishing venue will affect stringers.
